The Bane Chronicles focuses on Magnus Bane, The High Warlock of Brooklyn. Its is a series on 11 shorts story’s looking into Magnus’ crazy past, you see the people he has met and his adventures.
In the short story’s you really get to know and understand Magnus more which is great! He is everybody’s favourite Warlock! Hid flamboyant style and glitter craze is just perfect! It nice to see his previous relationships, his bisexuality and how he got to where he is now. It was nice to finally find out “What happens in Peru” and other things such as how he knows Will and Camille. My favourite short story had to be “The Midnight Heir”, I adore the Infernal Devices and love Tessa, Willl and Jem so much! In this book you get your first real look into Tessa ans Will children.
The only negative feeling I have for this book is that it would of been nice to maybe see something of Magnus when he was a child. His past as a child seems very dark but so interesting, it would be good to know the details and maybe the readers would be able to connect with Magnus on another level, not just that he is a party animal.
